Liberty Tea Demonstration
Join us for a mini tea!
Volunteer Bonita Warner will host three mini-teas demonstrating Liberty Teas on Sunday, August 19, in the Murdock Log Cabin. After the Boston Tea Rebellion in 1773, Colonial women swore off King George's teas. This forced the women to become creative and they took to their surroundings (orchards, woods, and kitchen gardens) to create tea blends that became known as "Liberty Teas". Tea Times will be at 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm.
