RECORDS BUILDING RENOVATION
The Berrien County Historical Association’s Board of Directors, staff and volunteers are currently soliciting funds to restore and renovate the 1860/1873 County Records and Office Building on the site. The $1,750,000 project will enable BCHA to use the historic building as a museum, archives, museum store and offices. This will create additional storage and program areas in other buildings. Your gift will make this goal a reality that will benefit all of Berrien County.
When the Berrien county seat moved to St. Joseph in 1894, the Records building was sold. Over the years, it housed businesses, classrooms and apartments. The Historical Association acquired it in the 1970s.
