Private Photo Shoots

The History Center at Courthouse Square serves as an amazing backdrop to any photo.  From the simplistic beauty of the courtroom to the beautiful texture of the Murdoch cabin, those with an eye for design will appreciate the diversity of our grounds!  Private photo shoots, such as senior photos, headshots, pre-prom photos, engagement shoots, and similar events can occur with no fee, although donations for the use of our space is welcomed.  All photographers should notify the BCHA of their intentions to use the grounds and/or buildings.  This is not only to ensure the safety of you and your clients, but allows us to warn you if areas are unavailable.

Buildings will only be available during our regular business times and cannot impact visitors to the museum.  The grounds are available anytime between dawn and dusk throughout the year.

Commercial Photo Shoots

Any photo shoot used for commercial purposes (i.e. magazine spread, television show, etc.) are welcomed to use our property and buildings to create a unique backdrop for your product, production, or advertisement.  These sessions are required to register with the BCHA, who can refuse use on the grounds of bigotry, hate speech, political purposes, or other themes we feel may not be in the best interest of the BCHA, the County of Berrien, or the Berrien County Parks Department.

All fees and registrations must be submitted at least one week prior to the schedule shoot and failure to submit these items may result in your party being turned away.  The BCHA also reserves the right to cut short any shoot that is endangering staff, guests, buildings, and our artifacts.
